At Our Cottage, we understand that sometimes, a short break can make a significant difference—for both caregivers and their loved ones. Our Respite Care program offers temporary stays in our boutique-style homes, providing personalized support in a warm, familiar environment.

Respite Care is a short-term care option designed for individuals who:

Need care while their primary caregiver is away
Wish to experience Our Cottage before making a long-term commitment

Stays can range from a few days up to 30 days, depending on individual needs.

Included in Your Stay

Our Respite Care guests receive the same high-quality services as our full-time residents:

Private or shared rooms, fully furnished (residents may bring their own bed or mattress if preferred)
24/7 caregiver support with a 1:4 staff-to-resident ratio
Three daily chef-prepared meals and snacks
Assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Medication management (within caregiver scope; certain limitations apply)
Housekeeping and laundry services
Engaging social and recreational activities
Coordination with home health or hospice services if needed

A: Respite stays can range from a few days up to 30 days, based on individual needs and availability.

Q: What should we bring for the stay?

A: We provide most essentials, including furnishings and linens. Residents are welcome to bring personal items, toiletries, medications, and, if preferred, their own bed or mattress.

Q: Can you administer medications?

A: Our trained caregivers can assist with medication management within their scope of practice. However, we do not have a 24/7 nurse on staff, so certain medications requiring licensed nursing care may not be administered. Please discuss specific needs with us in advance.
